Beyond the Bed

I am heavy with lust
and you are
the last woman.
We meet by the credenza.
You take my
hand as if I were a lease.
I snap into position.
It’s the position that you
told me you moved
best in. I move in.
The light warms our skin,
the bed is a ship.
We set sail. All hands and
legs. Afterwards, I
still want you. It’s that kind
of electric chair.
